Steve Horner

I was a missionary in Tijuana, Mexico for 21 years.

My family and I moved to Tijuana in August 1987 with a dream from God of building a new orphanage for homeless children.

We went without any finances by faith and most people and family thought the whole idea was crazy.

It took 2 years to buy 10 acres and build the first orphanage home.

In july 1989, 15 mexican children moved into the house with my wife and I, and our 2 children, 10 and 13 years old.

After about 9 months, all the mexican children had accepted Jesus as there personal Savior.

I was reading mark 16:15 one morning and God said take the children out to share the Gospel in Mexico. I said they were baby christians and God said take the children out witnessing. So i took the kids to the Tijuana dump to share the Gospel. So many people accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior that the Mexican children wanted me to build a church without money.

God answered our need.

In the next 19 years without money God provided for us build:
5 homes in the orphanage with 100 kids,
3 elementary schools,
19 more churches,
200 kids in day care,
bible college 125 students,
youth center roller skating ring
and evangelism trailer that touches 1000's of lives with the Gospel.
Listen to God and do whatever he says by faith.
(Mark 16:15) And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
(Luke 1:37) For nothing will be impossible with God."
(2 Corinthians 5:7) for we walk by faith, not by sight-
(James 1:27 ) Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
Amen.
